Survival of the Fireflies

Survivals promise no resurrection (what meaning could one expect from raising a ghost?). They are nothing but glimmers, flashes passing in the shadows, never the advent of a great “light of lights.” Because they teach us that destruction—even ongoing destruction—is never absolute, survival spare us from believing that a “last” revelation or a “final” salvation is necessary for our freedom.
